Beyoncé isn’t about to let anyone steal her thunder.
With Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus all releasing music this fall, Beyoncé is about to step up and knock them all out of the spotlight with some new top-secret music she’s been recording.
Queen Bey concocted her plan to time the release in early December, so that a single she’s been working on will be released right after Gaga, Katy and Miley release their albums–and it’s all because she wants everyone to know exactly who the queen is, a source tells THE GOSSIP TABLE. She has been delaying recording since January in order to show she’ll beat her competition on the charts.
“Many in the music industry have gotten intel that Beyoncé will put out a single in the fourth quarter, some time from late November to early December,” our insider says. “It’s an official single and it’s timed perfectly to push out all the others. It will be out before the end of the year.”
Our source adds that Ole Music Publishing located in Nashville, TN, will publish the “massive” song–which Pepsi has been pushing for as they bankrolled the project. It will be distributed on Columbia Records, the label Beyoncé is under.
Another source tells us that Beyoncé’s gone to great lengths to hide what she’s been in the studio, recording. The accompanying music video was already shot in August on Coney Island by Terry Richardson, but just snippets of the single were played during shooting.
“There is a noticeable hole in Columbia Records’ Q4 release schedule and it’s going to be Beyoncé’s release on December 3,” says the source.
It will be released the same day as a new album by Spears. The “Toxic” singer announced her news on Tuesday. Titled “Britney Jean,” it will be Spears’ eighth studio album.
It’s just one amongst a spate of competitive albums by our ladies of pop–Gaga is releasing “Artpop,” her third studio album on November 8. Perry, who has a massive hit with “Roar,” will release “Prism,” her fourth studio album on October 18.
