The Duggar Family, stars of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” recently went to Beijing to tape their show. Seeing the Great Wall and exploring China was a delight for the entire family, however, China’s one child per family policy left then entire family with broken hearts.
“It is heartbreaking to think that a government can tell people how many children they can have,” Michelle told Naughty But Nice Rob over lunch in New York city. “Children are a gift from God and nothing is more important. God does not make mistakes. When I looked into the people’s eyes in China and thought about what they were being told, it broke my heart.”
Religion plays a huge part in the life of the entire family. Michelle says God saved her. Now she wants to spread his message of love across the world.
“We love to travel,” she explains. “It can be tricky with such a large family but we have been lucky to see many parts of the world and realize that all people are basically the same.”
See the family arrive in China tomorrow – Tuesday, March 26th on TLC. Watch them wrangling 40 suitcases at the airport, before navigating the city, visit Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall of China and a local village.
