It is getting UGLY again between Jay Leno and NBC!
Last night Jay was unafraid to call NBC executives “Snakes” in his opening monologue saying, “You know the legend of St. Patrick, right? St Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland. Then they came into the United States and became NBC executives.” – OUCH!
Jay did this because he is very angry about the leaks that happened almost 2-weeks ago, saying he was retiring and getting replaced by Jimmy Fallon.
“Jay is livid will all the leaks saying he wants to retire at the end of the 2014 season. He doesn’t want to retire, and he certainly does not want to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon,” one NBC insider tells NBNROB. “This is not right leaking information to the media after all Jay has done for NBC. This is just wrong.”
UPDATE: The New York Times has reported that NBC chief, Robert Greenblatt, sent Jay an email asking him NOT to make jokes about the network. Which I guess he has decided to ignore.
According to The New York Times, no deal is in place, but a transition is expected to occur by fall 2014 at the latest.
The show would reportedly return to New York after more than four decades in Los Angeles.
