Just Wednesday, Amanda Bynes said she was “doing great” since being released from rehab last week; but less than 24 hours later, the troubled starlet has already found herself in hot water.
Amanda, 27, was supposed to appear in a New York court Dec. 5 for a mandatory hearing, but, Diana Boyar, the judge on the case, found herself agitated when Amanda was nowhere to be found.
Thursday’s hearing was in connection to Amanda’s May 23rd bong-throwing incident, in which the former child star was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, attempted evidence tampering and possession of marijuana after Amanda allegedly tossed a bong out of the window of her 36th-floor New York City Apartment.
The judge argued with Amanda’s attorney, Gerald Shargel, explaining she belongs in the courthouse; but Shargel told Boyar that Amanda absolutely could not be there — although would not disclose why.
Boyar almost issued a bench warrant — which is an arrest warrant issued by a judge when a defendant violates courtroom protocol — although she ultimately backed off after consulting with the assistant district attorney.
Insiders reveal to THE GOSSIP TABLE, “after seeing how bad she was just months ago, its scary to think that she could be in more trouble…”
After the judge’s frustrations were amplified by the prosecution’s lack of preparation — they said they were neither ready for trial, nor ready to make an offer — Boyar insinuated that there will be consequences if Amanda doesn’t show up for her next hearing on Jan. 10.
