A lot of movies and TV shows have been promoting themselves by using wild and hilarious pranks which go viral. We’ve seen everything from Demon Babies (Devil’s Due) to possessed coffee shops (Carrie) and more. AMC’s “The Walking Dead” got in on the act with their Zombie Prank in NYC. However, the people responsible for the prank are now under investigation by NYPD and city officials.
The MTA was not thrilled with the use of the subway grates without permission. “We are deeply troubled by this video,” an MTA spokesman said Sunday. “We have forwarded it to the NYPD and are also conducting our own investigation.”
The CEO of the ad agency responsible for the prank said, “I can’t go into specific details, but I firmly and strongly believe that what we did — the shoot— was executed legally and in accordance with city policies.
