Channing Tatum doesn’t plan to lie to his daughter about his past as a stripper.
The actor said in a new interview that when Everly is “old enough to watch” the R-rated “Magic Mike” movies, he will “have that conversation” with the now-9-year-old.
“There’s no version of me not having the conversation of ‘Dad didn’t just do them in movies, I was an actual stripper,’” Tatum, 42, told “Entertainment Tonight” on Wednesday.
“I’m not gonna lie to her,” he continued
After the “She’s the Man” star dropped out of Glenville State College in West Virginia at age 18, he stripped at a local nightclub under the name Chan Crawford.
In 2014, Tatum told the Hollywood Reporter that he made “150 bucks … on a good night,” adding, “On a bad night, 70 bucks — even 50 at times. … Not as good as you think.”
The “21 Jump Street” star used his experience when creating and starring in “Magic Mike” in 2012, followed by “Magic Mike XXL” and “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” as well as live shows.
