King Charles’ coronation is going down on May 6, 2023, and literally everyone is expected to attend. Well, almost everyone, lol. There’s been a lot of speculation about whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the coronation in the wake of their explosive Netflix docuseries, and a royal expert seems to think Prince William will make sure his brother isn’t invited.
Royal biographer Angela Levin tells The Sun that the coronation is an “important occasion” and it’s important the spotlight remains on Charles, explaining “if they do come it will be all about them. I think William will say ‘absolutely not you can not come.'”
According to Levin, William is “the most annoyed about all of this,” and he also happens to be the member of the family that Harry said the most !!!! things about in the docuseries. Quick reminder: Harry recalled a meeting his family had about the Sussexes’ plan to step away from senior royal duties, saying “It was terrifying to have my brother [Prince William] scream and shout at me, and my father say things that simply weren’t true. And my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there, and sort of take it all in.”
He also noted that “the saddest part of it was this wedge created between myself and my brother. So that he’s now on the institution side. And part of that I get, I understand, that’s his inheritance. So to some extent it’s already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and the continuation of the institution.”
Thus far, Prince William hasn’t responded to Harry’s claims, and judging from Buckingham Palace’s silence, it doesn’t sound like he’s going to anytime soon.
