Katy Perry revealed on Saturday that Lenny Kravitz will join her for the Super Bowl Halftime Show next month.
Kravitz will be a “special guest” for the show, Perry called him a “rock & roll icon” and “guitar god.”
Initial Twitter reaction to the Kravitz announcement seemed mixed.
Perry joins the ranks of past Super Bowl performers, including Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
The Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona will air on NBC on February 1.
