It was a MAJOR battle of the A-listers at the box office last night as JLO, Jennifer Aniston and Johnny Depp/Gwyneth Paltrow all battled for ticket sales.
Jennifer Lopez’s THE BOY NEXT DOOR opened to solid and finish the weekend with between a $15 – $16 million opening weekend. (The movie only cost $4 million to make, so JLo has a smash)
The Johnny Depp/Gwyneth Paltrow film tanked. The film is on track to make UNDER $5 million. Depp’s third mega flop in the last couple of years.
Much hyped Jennifer Aniston’s film CAKE, opened in about 500 theatres (enough for a big opening) will struggle to gross a horrendous $1 million for the weekend.
But the biggest winner of the weekend was the second weekend for Bradley Cooper’s AMERICAN SNIPER!
