Since the official announcement was made yesterday, the facts are starting to come out. The Tonight Show will be moved to New York from its current home in LA – but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. NBC is looking to make this show a “big” hit with New York fans and reportedly has plans to give him one of the biggest studios in late night, if not the biggest. It’s being leaked that NBC is planning to start knocking down some of the walls…AND FLOORS to make one big studio for Fallon’s Tonight Show, complete with balcony and all.
“They’re ripping 30 Rock apart to make Jimmy the best studio EVER,” NBC sassy sports reporter Michelle Beadle tells Naughty But Nice Rob. “They are making four floors inside the building into one studio so Jimmy can have a huge audience and a balcony. It’s going to be amazing. Unfortunately, our show is getting kicked out of our studio – and many other shows – to make room for JIMMY!”
“Jimmy has become NBC’s number one priority,” another NBC insider reveals. “He is the great hope of the future of the network. No one in the history of the company has been given this much support before. Budget is no problem; they will not have another fiasco on their hands when Jay Leno leaves again, even if it means kicking shows out of their studio to make room for the expansion.
I guess we’ll have to wait for Fallon’s Tonight Show debut to see if bigger really is better!
