Cassidy Gifford is stepping out of the shadows of her famous mom and dad – “Today” show cohost Kathie Lee Gifford and former Giants Hall of Famer and sportscaster Frank Gifford – with a star breakout performance in “The Gallows,” opening July 10.
The film centers on a high school where the lead actor in a play was hanged during a freak stage accident 20 years earlier. To mark the anniversary, a group of current students reprise the production, which unleashes a vengeful spirit that stalks them in the halls one fateful night.
She and her three costars — Pfeifer Brown, Ryan Shoos and Reese Mishler — are fantastic, but it is Gifford that you cannot take your eyes off!
Gifford continues her leading role streak by playing a human trafficking victim in “Caged No More,” due out later this year.
Before “The Gallows,” Gifford had a couple of smaller roles under her belt — including a guest role on CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” a part in the Christian drama “God’s Not Dead” (2014), and an appearance in the sitcom “That’s So Raven” as a kid.
Gifford brought her famous mom to a screening of “The Gallows” a few weeks ago, and sources say, her mom was, “blow again!”
TRUST ME, THIS KID IS GOING TO BE A HUGE HUGE STAR
